The Major League Development Association operates two high-performing soccer teams in Hampton Roads, VA delivering top quality sport and entertainment experiences to our fans.

MLDA Team Values:

Virginia Beach City FC

Virginia Beach City FC, a professional men's soccer team, was awarded a National Premier Soccer League franchise in 2013. Since inception, VB City FC has found success on the field earning a Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Berth, multiple NPSL playoff appearances and a NPSL Mid Atlantic Regular Season Conference Championship Title. VB City FC is the first soccer club in Hampton Roads, Virginia to provide the full player development pyramid from youth to professional on a year round basis.

Virginia Beach City FC Women

Virginia Beach City FC Women is a Women's Premier Soccer League expansion team awarded by the WPSL in 2014.The WPSL is considered the second tier of women's soccer in the United States, behind the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). VB City FC Women compete in the same division as NWSL's Washington Spirit Reserves. 


Former MLDA Teams:

D.C. United U23 NPSL - (2013, 2014)

The MLDA owned and operated D.C. United of Major League Soccer’s affiliate semi professional team, D.C. United U23 NPSL in 2013 and 2014. Under the MLDA's tenure the team earned two Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Berths, a NPSL Mid Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship Title and two NPSL Playoff Berths. During the inaugural season, the team was coached by D.C. United legend, Jaime Moreno.
